Wide efforts are being done every day in order to achieve objectives like self-sufficiency and knowledge production in mechanics (production and manufacturing) and materials engineering majors, by young students and researchers in the country. Today the main problem in the country is the existence of embargo encountering the importation of modern and advanced systems that have been always problematic for the industry and the university. Requisites for the advance of science and technology in the nowadays world are recognizing and manufacturing equipment and tools, being capable of producing products that their manufacturing by traditional methods is not feasible or economical.
Existence of suitable tools to produce science is always a necessity. Mechanical and material engineering majors are one of the most important poles of industry and economic advances of the country. One of these tools or equipment is heating furnaces that can be used in a wide range of industries. This center has the capability for producing all kinds of heating systems and furnaces under high vacuum up to 2300°C under automatic and precise control of temperature, pressure and atmosphere. In order to achieve this great objective, center of design and production of heating systems and furnaces has been established in the university for the first time.
