Research

The Faculty of Electrical Engineering is proud of the depth and breadth of the research being conducted by its faculty members and researchers. Research at the faculty covers a wide spectrum of areas spreading from nanoelectronics and nanostructures to microscale electronic circuits, systems, and devices, in electronics, and to large scale systems such as power plants and smart power distribution networks in power engineering. Active research in the field of communications comprises electromagnetic fields and waves as well as communication circuits and systems realized using both regular and optical approaches. In control theory and engineering qua lity research is focused on linear and non-linear control of single- and multi-variable systems using classic and intelligent approaches, and areas such as industrial processes and robotics. Research in biomedical engineering includes biological signal processing, biomedical image processing, and biomedical instrumentation. Research in the field of mechatronics is actively pursued in fault diagnosis and biomechatronics.
